All Natural Products = Amazing Sexy Skin

Sometimes when you’re so busy fuelling your body with good, wholesome food and spending time getting active and sweating it all out, you forget that there is another element to the healthy lifestyle equation. Your. Skin.

I am a self confessed lazy skin care person, only just considering beginning an active regime. I just don’t want to age! But, that being said, your skin is your largest organ so wouldn’t you want to make sure it gets treated nicely, with lots of love and deliciousness?

While I’m shoddy at your cleanse, tone and moisturise trinity, what I do love is showering. Had a good day? It’s time for a lengthy shower with fun glitter jelly (the shower equivalent of a bubble bath). Bad day? Shower away the pain.

This basic thing that we all do at least once daily is so important for your skin, but do the products we generally use work wonders for this vital organ? Nuh uh. No way.

A colleague of mine recognised this fault in a lot of current soap products. As an allergy sufferer, things like washing powder and the like would irritate him. He couldn’t even walk past large commercial bath product shops (you know the ones I mean!) without his allergies flaring up from the scent of all of the goodies inside.

He went to work creating his own soaps to solve these allergy issues and Ducks’Cottage was born! A little pet project initially, there was lots of research, trial and error to get the right formulas. A combination of ancient and modern soap making techniques are used to create a gorgeous, natural AND environmentally friendly product that works wonders for your skin.

Our workplace started off as the key testers. Variations being trialled on ourselves, partners, families and housemates until favourites were determined and a range decided on. The creator of these luxurious soap products has found the most sensational natural components in the soap products, for example walnuts act as a great exfoliant, charcoal increases blood circulation and cucumber is soothing on the skin – the cucumbers are organic, massive and sourced from his own home grown veggie patch!

Since using Ducks’Cottage personal care products, our office has experienced fewer skin allergies, softer skin and the small dry skin patches on my upper arms have literally disappeared! I guess it just goes to show that my skin truly does enjoy the all natural skin care experience from Ducks’Cottage products.

Shower time is still a firm favourite for me, with Nude Ruby-T (made with real blood oranges) making my skin smooth and soft, Organic Cucumber and Peppermint providing me with that invigorating kick, and Nut-ie Pine providing a gentle natural exfoliant that also moisturises my skin. There are still so many varieties that I’m yet to try but I’m working my way through my personal stockpile, feeling excited for each and every shower and new Ducks’Cottage product I get to use.
